Staex Anchors Verified On-Chain Data from 80 City Buses and Over 160 Connected Devices

From Hype to Proof
In May 2025, Staex and U2U Network announced a partnership supported by a U2U Network grant to bring Decentralized Physical Infrastructure (DePIN) to life. What began with municipality buses in Germany has quickly grown into a tangible rollout: Staex is now installed on 80 buses and 160+ connected devices, streaming verified data directly onto the U2U Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) platform.
Each city bus is currently equipped with two devices that measure data every 5 seconds on data types such as passenger count, GPS location, CO2 values, and provides time stamps of incidents delivering reliable and trusted data about vehicle operations and environmental conditions.
The CAN Bus Data and other devices on the bus are captured and signed by a Staex gateway on-vehicle,
Transactions: Securely recording device data on-chain for immutability that is verifiable by stakeholders and ensures reliable invoicing and compliance.
These telemetry data points are being anchored securely on-chain, ensuring end-to-end transparency and trust. Solidifying that DePIN is not just an idea, but a reliable way for enterprises to digitize, share verifiable data, automate operations and therefore lower costs.
Why Trusted Data Chain Matters
Machine-to-Machine (M2M) connections are projected to surpass 75 billion by 2030. Together, Staex and U2U are laying the foundation for this machine-driven economy by ensuring verified, near real-time data securely accessible by multiple parties (I.e. bus company, municipality, passengers, authorities, insurers) on the network, offering inherent trust of the right data to the right stakeholders in the ecosystem.
Apart from trusted insight for operation and reporting, this platform also becomes a simpler way to
Add new mobility decentralized applications
Design near real-time user incentives
Launch next-generation fleet mobility services
With these deployments, U2U is showcasing its high-frequency, enterprise-ready blockchain. “Staex is showing how real-world devices can seamlessly integrate with U2U”, says Mr. Lew Tran, CoFounder and CTO at U2U Network. “This partnership not only validates the scalability of our blockchain but also demonstrates how enterprises can benefit from secure, verified data streams that power the next generation of applications.”
Dr. Alexandra Mikityuk, CEO and Co-Founder of Staex, emphasized: “Staex’s partnership with U2U proves that DePIN is happening now. Together, we’re building the infrastructure where machines can connect, exchange data, and unlock entirely new business models”.
This partnership proves that decentralized infrastructure can scale—supporting mobility, energy, and drone networks at once.

What’s Next
The partnership between Staex and U2U marks a leap in the overall Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) journey. Together we plan to connect even more devices across mobility, energy, and city networks, further expanding the real-world data ecosystem. Staex and U2U are turning DePIN into a working, tangible reality.
We’re building the backbone of the machine economy. Join us and help turn everyday machines into monetizable, trusted infrastructure for the decentralized future.
