Staex Receives Prezenti Grant to Deploy Live Bus Telemetry on Celo

Blue graphic with "Anchoring Live Bus Telemetry on Celo" text. Features bus outline, network nodes, "staex x Prezenti" and "Celo" logos.

Staex has received a grant from Prezenti to deploy its Trusted Data Chain contracts on the Celo mainnet and integrate live telemetry from active public buses in Germany.

As part of this integration, Staex will anchor real-world vehicle data on-chain, including:

  • vehicle speed

  • CO₂ and emissions metrics

  • fuel usage

  • tachometer

  • power

  • weather

  • odometer

  • GPS

  • diagnostic data

The initial deployment is expected to generate approximately 350,000 on-chain transactions, representing real telemetry metadata writes originating from operating buses — not test data.

In parallel, Staex will launch a public-facing dashboard showing live or near-real-time telemetry data from the connected bus fleet. Each data entry will include cryptographic references to the corresponding metadata stored on Celo, such as transaction hashes, telemetry hashes, and signatures.

What this demonstrates:

  • A production-grade integration of real-world mobility data with a public blockchain

  • Sustained high-volume on-chain activity (≈25,000 transactions per day)

  • Transparent verification through Celo explorer links and a public dashboard

  • A working example of trusted, auditable telemetry data for emissions tracking and mobility analytics

Why it matters?

This project will serve as a live demonstration of how real-world transportation and emissions data can be made verifiable, auditable, and usable on-chain at production scale — not just as a demo, but as live infrastructure.
